Law Office of Jason M Okai, PC

Jason is in his fourteenth year of practicing law and his seventh as an adjunct professor of law.

Jason began his career as an intellectual property counsel for the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA), a trade association whose members are six of the largest motion picture studios in the United States. At the MPAA, he focused on intellectual property legislation and policy development, appellate advocacy and litigation in the United States and abroad. Jason has worked closely with the major professional sports leagues and entertainment groups on significant legal issues related to the business of sports and entertainment.

Recently, he served as a Counsel for Policy and International Affairs with the United States Copyright Office in Washington, D.C. where he worked on international and domestic copyright legislation and policy development.

He currently operates his own law firm and teaches Copyright Law and Intellectual Property Issues in Sports & Entertainment Law at The University of New Hampshire School of Law in Concord, NH where he is also an adjunct faculty member with the UNH Law School Sports & Entertainment Law Institute.

Jason holds a J.D. and Masters of Intellectual Property (M.I.P.) from the University of New Hampshire School of Law and a BA from The University of Massachusetts at Amherst.
