Le Petit Chateau

From the outside, Le Petit Chateau looks like a charming mini castle. Once inside you will not be disappointed. The soaring heavy wood beamed ceilings and illuminated shuttered windows overlooking the dining area further enhance the warm comfortable feeling of an old world French country estate. Coats of arms, plate rails, landscapes, wall hangings and various art collectibles line the walls above the banquettes and intimate booths. The warm homey atmosphere is carried into the cozy bar area, a great place to stop on your way in for lunch or dinner. The full bar features a martini menu, from the traditional classics to the latest trendy creations, as well as a selection of wines by the glass. After dinner another stop, for an after dinner brandy or digestif. Le Petit Chateau's bar also makes a wonderful place to just spend some time with friends or perhaps even make some new ones.

Le Petit Chateau features many of the traditional French dishes which are becoming increasingly difficult to find. Sweetbreads have all but vanished from most menus, but here you will still find they are prepared to perfection, pan broiled dwelling on a mound of rice with a mild bearnaise sauce. A classic Steak Diane, a filet splayed in half crowned with mushrooms and capers and a fantastic bordelaise sauce with just a hint of dijon is another classic prepared at Le Petit Chateau. Long Island Duckling with either cherry or orange sauce is a must try. Many of our well traveled regular customers have said it is without a doubt the "best duck we have ever had." Many other dishes to be found in a typical french restaurant such as Frog Legs, pan broiled with garlic, parsley, herbs and flambeed in brandy; Coquille St. Jacques, large sea scallops poached in chardonnay wine then glazed in a veloute sauce; Beef Wellington in a pastry crust with paté - all wonderful additions of classic French cuisine.

Each day Le Petit Chateau features many specials in addition to its extensive menu of steaks and seafood. The daily specials emphasize seasonal produce and fresh fish depending on availability of the best and freshest products.

A wide array of desserts round out your lunch or dinner perfectly, all prepared in our kitchen by our pastry chef. French chocolate tart, tarte tatin, as well as French favorites, Grand Marnier or chocolate souffles and crepes suzette.

Le Petit Chateau offers a very unique banquet room also decorated with antiques and artworks. Individually designed menus for groups have made this a popular spot for office parties, anniversaries, birthdays or wedding events and various other special occasions. We want people to feel like they are in their own private dining room at home with their friends enjoying an intimate fine dining experience.

Several times a year Le Petit Chateau hosts wine pairing dinners - five course meals, each course combined with a specially selected wine from either France or California. These dinners have become extremely popular, so be sure to ask about reservations and details for the next planned event.
