I recall being in early grade school and bringing tools and flashlight to my father in the family contracting business.

The construction bug must have bitten hard, because after some years in software engineering, I was drawn back to the field in 1989.

Today, I am privileged not only to remain in construction, but to establish LeaderBuilt™, an exceptional company which combines my core values, my life’s experience as well as today’s processes and technology, and my efforts to eliminate the common headaches and problems inherent to most contractors as to provide customers with an unparalleled comprehensive construction experience.

I first began building by developing single family and multifamily subdivisions, while at the same time obtaining an MBA and applying the processes and methodologies found in large scale corporate software systems.

Throughout the years, I have constructed and improved hundreds of homes and commercial structures, including custom homes, multifamily buildings, hotels, restaurants, and industrial buildings.

Early on, I saw the “process” as the one unifying constant in all construction projects, and Design+Build being a key component of the process. Many of my projects integrated architectural design, interior design and even financing, before “design + build” had become a popular term.

Over time, my construction path brought new prospects. The combination of building and finance experience provided an opportunity to be in charge of a large portfolio of real estate and construction lending at 5/3rd Bank, and after leaving the bank, I consulted banks and other lenders on the issues of fraud and risk prevention in construction lending. Private equity investment opportunities followed, as well as opportunities to consult and be on the board of a number of smaller companies looking to improve operations.

However, while broadening my horizons and capitalizing on prospects, my core values in life and in business did not change. I never stopped building nor did I lose passion for construction, never stopped being personally involved in projects, and never stopped improving my comprehensive process-driven approach to each project.

In LeaderBuilt™, I have established a company with today’s needs in mind, but also with today’s capabilities. Here, an experienced builder and developer had combined his financial skills and management experience of a fortune 500 executive with the vision and market insights of an entrepreneur to create a unique customer experience.

My core values of transparency, communication, risk reduction, and comprehensive process management have been implemented through the LeaderBuiltâ„¢ Project Logicâ„¢ system, as well as our communication, design + build and other project management processes. To that end, I have assembled a talented team of individuals from a number of fields focused on the same core values, and achieving consistently outstanding results.
