Learning Momentum

Learning Momentum provides specialized services for children with emotional disorders, including Bipolar, ADHD, RAD, ODD, OCD, DMDD, Autism, Anxiety Disorder and many more. Learning Momentum utilizes one of the newest and most successful program, Rage to Reason to treat the explosive behavior often see in these children. At times children with emotional disorders become dysregulated and have very challenging behaviors that can include rage and meltdowns. Often things like following directions, stopping preferred activities and being told no causes significant problems. Rage to Reason is a program that teachers kids to follow directions and accept no without these explosive behaviors. It also teaches the coping skills needed to deal with frustration, a skill that is usually very difficult for them. Rage to Reason, written by Amy Buie, MEd, BCBA, LBA, utilizes the science of Applied Behavior Analysis. Any has over 25 years of experience working in the field of ABA and is the founder of Learning Momentum. She is the mother of an 18 year old a son who has bipolar, OCD and an anxiety disorder. She specializes in working with those who have explosive behavior due to emotional disorders and childhood mental illness.
