Leatherhead Concepts

Leatherhead Concepts was started in 2009 as a simple shield maker. The founder Chris, a local fire Captain set out on an idea to make custom shields for his crew as gifts. Several hundred dollars later, and a very upset wife, he was cutting out his first shield. It wasn't long that other firefighters began asking him to make shields for them. They were shocked at the detail and craftsmanship provided at such a reasonable price.

Firefighters and EMS professionals in late 2010 began asking for leather gear and were again surprised that such quality items could be obtained without losing half a weeks pay. Leatherhead Concepts has recently added a business partner, Jason, a good friend of Chris, fellow firefighter, and longtime leatherworker. Between the 2, there is over 17 years of fire service leather experience, and 32 years of Firefighting Experience. We are always receptive to customer feed back, so let us know.

Leatherhead Concepts are exactly what the name says, Fire service Leather innovators. We make standard products better and stronger out of leather. we think of how substandard items littered in the fire service can be made better, and we work on new ideas never seen before.
