Lee's Summit Sunrise Rotary

Sunrise Rotary is a breakfast club that meets at 7:15 a.m. each Friday morning at the Gamber Community Center, located at 4 S.E. Independence Ave., Lee's Summit, MO. Lee's Summit Sunrise Rotary was chartered on March 26, 1999, and is strongly committed to the ideals of Rotary as depicted in our club vision statement: To Be A Vibrant Service Club That Is Engaged In The Community At Home And Abroad.

Sunrise Rotary welcomes all who have a desire for community service and interested in growing friendships with other service minded community members. Over the years Sunrise Rotary has developed a reputation for international service. It has hosted multiple international delegations from Russian and France focusing on understanding our medical, construction, education and legal systems. The club has also participated in school literacy programs for children in Central America and has built eight water purification plants at schools in Central Thailand.

Locally, the club was responsible for raising over $100,000 used in constructing a Legacy Park playground for children with special physical needs.

Our annual service projects of Fly A Flag, Empty Bowls and ChiliFest generate funds in excess of $30,000 which are donated to charitable organizations both at the local as well as international level.
