Legacy Reentry Foundation NFP

Legacy Reentry Foundation NFP is 501c3 faith based non-profit that was established by founder and President George Moore Jr. for the sole purpose of helping the formerly incarcerated to reintegrate back into society by providing relevant resources.

Through his own personal experience with incarceration and the obstacles that he faced in returning into society, he was led by God to start a ministry entitled "King In You" in 2007 (which still functions to this day) where he encourages and challenges people to rise above their past and to embrace their future in Christ Jesus via his written books and speaking engagements. However, in an effort to incorporate others in the ministry of reentry and to leave a legacy beyond himself, he was inspired by God to form a faith an organization and ministry entittled Legacy Reentry Foundation NFP in 2015.

In receiving a personal revelation from Genesis 45:7 that your God given purpose in life will always involve helping others regardless of your background, he was joined by an all star cast of community leaders that support this mission.

Although there are many efforts to reduce recidivism in the Lake County Illinois region, Legacy differs from most reentry organizations in that it functions as a ministry and not just a charitable work. Therefore members are challenged to change their entire lifestyle as opposed to just receiving benevolent assistance. Legacy's goal is to provide resources to people so that they become a resource for other people.

Ultimately, the mission of LRF is to transform lives, change communities and to leave a legacy through educational programs, benevolent assistance and mentoring those in need so that the people who have been helped will have the power to help somebody else.
