The Leo Robbins Community Sailing Center at 2950 Pierpont Boulevard, and can be found in Marina Park
The City of Ventura Department of Parks, Recreation and Community Partnerships has managed and maintained this community sailing facility since 1972
This national award-winning U.S. Sailing Association Community Sailing Center provides youth, adult and group sailing, kayaking and standup paddleboard activities, passage making, youth camps and safe boating courses year-round for beginning through advanced students.
The center currently has 19 boats, ranging from 14 to 30 feet, as well as 10 kayaks and 8 standup paddleboards. Our boats and equipment come from the State of California Department of Boating and Waterways, and private donations.
In 2006, the City of Ventura Leo Robbins Sailing Center received the “Community Sailing Council Outstanding Year-round Program Award” during the National Sailing Programs Symposium held in New Orleans from US Sailing, the national governing body of sailing in the United States—and the national organization behind Olympic Sailing and the US Olympic Sailing Team.
