Leon Sheffield was the former Lakeside High School and then Lakeview Elementary. Mr. Leon Sheffield was a principal in these schools for 19 years. The magnet school opened in 1972 as Gordon Bibb Elementary and was moved to the Leon Sheffield campus in 2006. The school continues the history of providing excellent educational opportunities to our diverse learners.
