Directions: White stucco building north of the CTLT and Professional Development Buildings, across from Metcalf, with parking access from either S. Main St. or N. Main St. (N. Main is the street going south and S. Main is the street going north). Entrance is on north side of the building. The Telefund entrance is on the east side of the building.

The Institute is an umbrella organization for campus- and community-related LGBTQ activities, serving as advisor, liaison, advocate, consultant, and collaborator for its various constituents. It seeks to enhance and support other entities, as well as develop its own initiatives, all in the service of improving the lives of LGBTQ people across race, ethnicity, social class, ability, and transnationality on campus, in the community, and in the larger society. It has three major components to its structure and work: academic studies, student services and campus climate, and community service and support.

Many years in the making, the LGBT/Queer Studies Institute is now an officially sanctioned ISU entity. We're up and running, but are relying to a great extent on faculty, staff, and student volunteers to keep us moving forward. Are you interested in joining this effort?
