Liberation Worship Center’s History

Pastor Roger Nelson Lane Sr. was given a vision from the Lord to establish his own church. With the support of his wife, First Lady Tamika Lane and his four children, Missionary Kassy Lane (Holmes), Tiffany Lane, Brittany Lane and Roger Lane Jr., The doors of Liberation Worship Center were opened on September 21,2008. Liberation Worship Center held its first services at The Market Hall (The Old K-Mart) with just a hand full of members. With much prayer, praise and perseverance after only three months, the Lord blessed the growth of our congregation. This growth allowed the move to the new and current location of Liberation Worship Center 164 Oak Street.
Pastor Lane Chose the name “Liberation” after much prayer because it means, “free”. He wanted a church where people would feel confortable to praise and worship freely as well as allow the movement of the Holy Spirit to flow freely.
As Liberation Worship Center has grown so has the ministries within. Liberation has started a food ministry that feeds the community. We also have a youth ministry as well as a women’s ministry.
Pastor Roger Nelson Lane Sr. was consecrated as a Bishop on September 22, 2012. And under the covering of Bishop Lane, and his ministry with the favor, Mercy and Grace of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Liberation continues to grow, Develop and Deploy warriors for Christ.
