Life in the Bay

Life in the Bay was born from the desire to create community between immigrants making a new home in the San Francisco Bay Area. As a team we have written more than 130 articles providing tips, guidance and support on topics such as finding a school, entertaining visitors, and dealing with the death of a loved one while overseas. We have shared countless local new stories, highlighted local events, and more recently brought you updates on political changes that directly affect our community. Expats, refugees, asylum seekers - All of these migrants have all left their homeland to start again, and yet their integration process is so different. Therefore in 2017, we are pushing forward and expanding our mission. Aside from helping the traditional expat, we will be looking for concrete ways in which all immigrants and Bay Area natives can truly come together to support each other and create community.
