A classic Southern California beach town, Ventura is 60 miles north of Los Angeles and 50 miles south of Santa Barbara. It boasts non-crowded beaches, popular surf spots, a thriving harbor, coastal bike paths, lush agricultural fields, and mild weather with summer highs of 75º F, and average winter lows of 45º F.

Ventura offers all of the amenities of a big city, yet with a relaxed, small town feel. A classic Main Street offers a mix of boutiques, cafes, antique shops, as well as a vibrant art district. One of the best-known attractions is the Channel Islands National Park. Only 14 miles off the coast; it is an all-natural playground for those interested in whale watching, dolphins, and other sea life. Other area activities include camping, fishing, kayaking, hiking, and diving. Attractions feature Camino Real Park—an ideal spot to view yearly Monarch butterfly migration, Los Padres National Forest, Lake Casitas, and the kid-friendly Golf N’ Stuff.
