Lincoln Township is a township in Somerset County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 1,669 at the 2000 census. It is part of the Johnstown, Pennsylvania Metropolitan Statistical Area.GeographyAccording to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 25.7 square miles (66.7 km²), all of it land.DemographicsAs of the census of 2000, there were 1,669 people, 642 households, and 489 families residing in the township. The population density was 64.8 people per square mile (25.0/km²). There were 676 housing units at an average density of 26.3/sq mi (10.1/km²). The racial makeup of the township was 99.40% White, 0.12% African American, 0.12% Asian, 0.24% from other races, and 0.12% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.30% of the population.There were 642 households out of which 33.8% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 64.2% were married couples living together, 7.5% had a female householder with no husband present, and 23.8% were non-families. 20.2% of all households were made up of individuals and 11.5% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
