Lionville Middle School Musical Theater

As one of two middle schools in the Downingtown Area School District, Lionville Middle School’s doors opened in September of 1997. The following year Lionville Middle School’s musical theater program opened with Last Chance High, directed by Ed Edwards, at that time a math teacher with plenty of real life theater experience, and Choral Music director Ted Raffetto. Since then, Lionville is currently on it’s sixteenth year, growing from a successful small school production to a successful large scale production with 135-200 students involved in each show, complete with a full pit orchestra, costuming and choreography. We owe much of our success to the unprecedented amount of parent and community support for the program. From the talents that the parents offer, to the businesses that support us through our program ads and their generous donations, they have helped us to continue to be a successful musical theater program. Our current staff consists of Mrs. Dianne Umstead - Drama Director, Ms. Stephanie Reimers - Music Director, Mrs. Laurie Seybert - Choreographer and Mrs. Deborah Kearney - Stage Crew Director. Our Producer is Mr. Bob Chaballa and our Costumer Mrs. Jane Chaballa
