Litchfield Preschool and Child Care Center

Litchfield Preschool & Child Care Center provides care for children birth to 12 years in age. Our center is open Monday – Friday from 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM. We are a small center compared to others in the Medina area so we are able to offer a family focused style. Throughout the day the children are given opportunities where they can spend time with additional age groups/siblings and get to know one another. This creates a bond that will follow these children through their early school years.
The owners Renee Miller and Elizabeth Kelkenberg have known each other for over 20 years. Renee has been providing care for children in the area for over 30 years one of them being Elizabeth when she was young. In 2009 Renee and Elizabeth founded Litchfield Preschool and Child Care Center. Staff turnover is very small so you will see the same faces day to day as many of the employees have been here from the start.
Preschool tuition includes our enrichment classes. We offer a weekly Kindermusik program where children discover the basics of music, art, movement and language through a variety of activities and instruments. The children participate in a weekly Yoga class where they discover and strengthen their growing bodies and enhance body awareness.
Parent Participation is a key to the cognitive, physical and social development of your child. Parents are welcome to participate in any of our center activities. We believe with Parent Participation it is another positive way of keeping the lines of communication between staff at the center and the parents. Throughout the year we host numerous events and parties that bring families back to the center after hours to mingle and get to know one another.
