Literati Bookstore

We are a new independent general bookstore in downtown Ann Arbor, Michigan. We opened March 31, 2013 in the hopes of adding and enhancing the vibrant downtown culture and arts scene. We aim to be a place where book lovers can go, talk, and interact with each other. We host author readings, book clubs, poetry nights, open mic nights, children's story times, and free book clubs. But most of all: We want to be a warm and welcoming bookstore.

Our staff hails from the greater Ann Arbor area, and many have extensive bookselling experience. Hilary, co-owner, grew up in Ann Arbor, and Mike, our other co-owner, has extended family here. Many of our staff worked previously at Borders (and you may recognize our shelving, which also came from Borders Store No. 1).
