More about Little Bitty City Enrichment Center

Little Bitty City Enrichment Center opened in 2010 with just 1 child in our care for over two months! In just 3 short months, our enrollment had grown to over 40. A year later, we attained maximum capacity at our old facility at 70 children and had to look for a new place to expand to. We found the perfect location at 154 Cornerstone Lane, behind Lowe's in Cornerstone.

Our facility is partnered with Outside the Box Therapy and Little Bitty City Therapeutic Services to offer a wide range of therapies, including Occupational, Speech, Physical, and Developmental.

We offer
-Enrollment from 6 weeks to Pre-K
-Free developmental screenings
-Developmental Therapy
-Occupational, Physical, and Speech Therapy
-Behavior Intervention
-Educational Field Trips
-PTA

-----Enrollment from 6 weeks to Pre-K-----
We currently have 4 rooms dedicated to our daycare and 3 rooms for our preschool. We have a variety of tuition packages to fit your needs. We can do a Tuesday/Thursday schedule, a Monday/Wednesday/Friday schedule, and a Monday-Friday schedule. Call 525-7529 for more details.

Our nursery is a soft baby blue, reminiscent of floating in the sky. This room is staffed with a teacher with over 13 years experience in the child care industry. Ms. Tammy is our mother hen and loves each and every baby in her care. She ensures that every child is treated with the utmost attention and care they deserve.

We have two "wobbler" rooms based around transitions. Although we start assisting your child's transition to adult food in our nursery, the wobbler room is where we complete most of these transitions -- whole milk, table food, walking, climbing, eating at a table with utensils, talking. We have equipment designed to assist with these transitions so the learning curve is as smooth as possible. We teach American Sign Language to these children so that, while they are learning vocal speech, they are still able to sign their basic needs, such as "eat", "please", and "more".

Our 18-24 month room is based around polishing and perfecting those transitions we start developing in the nursery and "wobbler" rooms so that we can begin teaching preschool activities.

Our toddler room begins our preschool curriculum. We begin using a set schedule, discipline policies, manners, taking responsibility for messes and actions, and cooperative play. We also begin introducing letters, numbers, colors, and shapes in addition to many other age appropriate skills. Last, but not least, we understand that not every child is on the same schedule so don't expect your child to be 100% potty trained at this age group. That's why we're here! We are glad to assist in potty training and have bathrooms located conveniently next to our toddler rooms. We also take all children to the potty every hour to get them used to going.

Our three year old room is designed around utilizing those skill sets taught in the toddler room. We now start USING the alphabet, numbers, shapes, colors, etc. Our curriculum is based around the 3-4 age appropriate cognitive abilities in addition to our learning centers (writing, art, math, fine motor, sensory, reading, blocks, and computer). The curriculum includes math, writing, reading, social studies (who am I), and science exploration.

Our four to five room is our baby! We have 11 centers in this room -- math, spelling, blocks, sand/water, fine motor, play-dough, the library, writing, art, sensory, and science! All children rotate through these centers in the morning and the afternoon. In between, we have an accelerated program that we can modify to fit every child and their individual needs. The first three months of each academic year are spent reviewing and learning new Pre-K material. The next 6 month are designed to teach Kindergarten skills, and the last 3 months start dabbling into First Grade material. We understand that children come in at different times of the year, and that not all children learn at the same speed so we will modify all lessons at need to include everyone.

-----Free developmental screenings-----
We believe your child's development is of the utmost importance. With this in mind, we perform free developmental screenings on all kids bi-annually. This is to ensure that is a developmental delay exists, it is caught as soon as possible so that the appropriate actions can be taken to assist in the correction of said delay.

-----Developmental Therapy-----
Little Bitty City Therapeutic Services, in partnership with LBC Daycare/Preschool, offers all developmental therapies on-site. They are also able to do in-home services if needed. They can service all children 0-18 who have Medicaid or who choose private-pay. They can also serve children 0-3 who have no funding source at all.

-----Occupational, Physical, and Speech Therapy-----
On-Site Occupational, Physical, and Speech Therapies are offered by Outside the Box Therapy. We are very excited about this partnership and honored to be working with such a great group of therapists who truly love their jobs and the kids they have the pleasure to assist. Since these therapists are located on-site, all teachers at Little Bitty City Daycare/Preschool learn something new everyday to assist with their classrooms! Call 525-7529 for more details.

-----Behavior Intervention-----
We offer free behavior intervention to all enrolled students at Little Bitty City. We offer this as a free service because we understand that childcare in and of itself is a costly expense and know that, while behavior intervention therapy is essential to doing well in "big school" and may be needed, it may not be affordable. Call 525-7529 for more details.

-----Educational Field Trips-----
We are planning 6 education field trips a year. These will be at no additional cost to the parents as we want all children to be able to participate. These field trips will include Mid-America, Discovery, LR Zoo, HS Crystal mine, Aerospace education center, and the Arkansas Arts Center. We are also looking into going to Henderson State University for age appropriate plays. Call 525-7529 for more details.

-----PTA-----
We are in the process right now of establishing a Parent Teacher Association because we want you to be as involved in your child's education as we are. We believe that in working together with open lines of communication, we can do our job even better. We are looking for parents who want to play an active role in a PTA committee (hold a position) and also those who want to hold volunteer roles (field trip driving, chaperoning, fund-raising, etc.) Call 525-7529 for more details.
