Littleton Fire Protection District

The Littleton Fire Protection District (LFPD) is a special district under Colorado law and is an independent government agency which is allowed to tax real estate for purposes of providing fire protection. Serving unincorporated Arapahoe, Douglas, and Jefferson counties. The boundaries of the District surround Littleton on three sides: Wadsworth on the west, Chatfield Avenue on the south and Holly Street on the east, approximately thirty square miles.

LFPD contracts with the City of Littleton, Littleton Fire Rescue (LFR) to provide emergency response services and life safety education programs to the citizens of the City of Littleton, the Littleton Fire Protection District and Highlands Ranch Metro District. This service is provided to approximately 220,000 people residing in a 92 square mile area. Emergency response services include: fire suppression, emergency medical services, hazardous materials response, technical rescue, dive rescue and recovery, as well as wildland fire suppression.
