Local Town Poll

Myself, like many people would like to stay informed about government issues, but do not have the time to attend city council meetings or watch CSPAN-2 all day. That is why I created Local Town Poll to be a mobile friendly, free to use way to see what issues are being discussed on a local, county, state and national levels.

Something I noticed after getting more involved, especially at the local level, is how many of people are not represented simple because of their absence. Resolutions that are proposed and passed often include exceptions for business or new proposals that everyday people do not know they have access to. This inadvertently gives an unfair advantage to business that can pay people to spend the time needed and lobby for issues. In order to overcome this, I believe it is important to create tools like Local Town Poll that do not require much time or previous understanding to use.
