Lonesome Dogwood Custom Woodworking

My name is David Patrick. I am the owner and operator of Lonesome Dogwood Custom Woodworking. I specialize in small to medium size furniture ranging from bookshelves and storage benches to toy boxes. Most of the wood I use to do my woodworking is all personally hand harvested and rough sawn at a local, privately owned sawmill. I then plane the wood down to the size I need and begin the building process. All of the cedar I use myself or my father personally harvest. We get all the cedar from a family friends property on the Tatnall County side of the Altamaha River Swamp. The only cedar we harvest is already dead, some standing and some already fallen. Cedar is naturally waterproof and repels insects that would destroy other fallen down trees so there is no telling how old the wood may be. No live cedars are harmed in the harvest process. The only wood I buy to build with is cabinet grade 3/4 birch plywood.
