Long Island Lake House

Known simply as "The Lake House" by all her visitors, friends and family; this iconic Craftsman style home has plenty of room to stretch out for both owners and guests. Situated on a private freshwater lake with views from almost every window, you will wake up refreshed and ready for a day of adventure on Long Island. The 2 rooms offer unobstructed waterfron views and are located on the 2nd floor. Each freshly painted room provides a queen size bed with fresh linens/towels. Suite one has a private bath and suite two utilizes the main upper hall bath 4 steps away.

The home has a wonderful front parlor for reading, waterfront living room for gazing at the wildlife, back patio for sun worshipers and when the wind is blowing just right, you may never want to leave your bedroom. Brand new full casement windows offer an amazing view and the clean fresh air will take your breath away.We also offer CAC for those hot days.


This home is owned by two seasoned global travelers. One a European born multi-lingual baker and the other a life long "islander" with a culinary degree and 40 plus years of LI exploring tips to share. We have no plans to interact with our guests unless it happens organically.


There are two pets in residence, one a old deaf and vocally challenged French cat the other is a happy and friendly Yellow Labrador. If you don't like dogs, we wont like you!


No smoking inside house. No outside pets allowed. No drugs. No partying. No Whining.


We are close to New York City, the Hampton's, numerous wonderful wineries and the beautiful beaches of LI. Patchogue is filled with iconic landmarks, fun new restaurants, music, theater, culture and of course the Fire Island Ferry for day trips. If shopping is your thing, we have Tanger outlets about 30 minutes away. The local flavor of our iconic village is "lively and fun" with the Emporium, Patchogue Theater, Restaurants, Arts, Crafts, Shops, Waterfront and more.


The LIRR (Long Island Rail Road) is only 1.5 miles from the house or a 5 min taxi ride. If you need a ride to the Fire Island Ferry for a day trip or want to explore more of the islands wine country, we have contacts with Limo companies so you can relax and enjoy without the worry. Its really is the best way to see the east end of LI.

Uber is also making a push in this area and offers great rates for local events, music or a night out in town.Or you can rent a car, which might be easier, from any of the 3 airports and drive out to us (45 min from JFK and/or LGA and 7 min from ISP)
