We specialize in authentic Mexican & seafood cuisine, as well as offering the best handmade tortillas in town! Our molcajete has quickly gained notoriety among our regulars! This signature dish offers the highest quality carne asada, pollo asado, longaniza (chorizo), nopales (cactus), shrimp, panela cheese, chiles toreados, in addition to our homemade molcajete sauce, rice, beans, guacamole, & tortillas! Come in & try it for yourself! If you are a true seafood lover you must try our mariscada! This dish comes with a plentiful amount of the freshest octopus & shrimp available, as well as our mouth-watering shrimp & tilapia ceviche. Our mariscada is garnished with red onion, avocado, & topped off with fresh squeezed lime & served with a side of our aguachile sauce!

History (established in 2012)

The story behind Los Panchos Mexican Grill & Seafood Restaurant actually began in the small town of Cotija, Michoacán México. After the family established themselves in the United States, the forefathers of Los Panchos eagerly learned to recreate some of the dishes that reminded them of home, as well as perfecting many of the dishes that had risen in popularity in Southern California throughout their establishments over the last 39 years! The first Los Panchos Taco Shop opened up in 1974 on 3rd Avenue in Chula Vista, and to this day there are approximately 21 Los Panchos locations (roughly 19 taco shops & 2 restaurants with table service). All the aforementioned locations are family owned & operated, however there is only one restaurant where one of the original founding fathers works, & we are proud to say that it is your very own Los Panchos Mexican Grill & Seafood Restaurant located right here in Escondido!
