For over 17 years, Louisa Ridge has been committed to providing the highest quality of care for the Akron- Cuyahoga Falls community. It all began in September 1998, when Raychelle and her younger sister Aricka decided that their passion was to help elderly individuals. Together, the two nurses opened Sun Rise Adult Day Services, a day program designed to provide an option to elderly persons who might otherwise find themselves in a long term care facility. Eventually, they began to provide care in the form of Day Services, Independent Living Assistance, and Transportation services under the name Louisa Ridge Adult Day Services. The name Louisa Ridge was inspired by their late Grandmother Louise who continues to inspire them each day in their care for others in their community. Throughout the years, the sisters, and Francine, the owner and mother have worked hard to provide quality care for the elderly until recently discovering the joy in providing for persons with a variety of disabilities. We currently provide services through the PASSPORT, Waiver, and DD programs. Our services include: Adult Foster, Adult Day Services, Non-Medical Transportation, Residential Care and Homemaker Personal Care Services. As a for profit organization, we receive funding for services rendered through these Government funded programs. Funds are provided only for approved services rendered. Those funds translate into operating costs, and support staffing needs. The moderate size of Louisa Ridge is ideal and conducive to an environment that is focused primarily on providing for the needs of the persons we serve.
