Low Spark, located Over-the-Rhine, is a neighborhood bar from 4EG with a ’70s vibe and a tropical aquarium as the centerpiece.
Located at 15 W. 14th St. at Republic Street, Low Spark was named after Traffic’s 1971 song, “The Low Spark of High Heeled Boys.”
Orange high-back chairs, checkered tile, red leather padded walls and beveled mirrors create a ’70s feel in the space, which seats 39 (capacity is 46). The original tin ceilings have been painted gold. A vinyl record player broadcasts eclectic tunes
Patrons can consume drinks that include a half-dozen specialty cocktails, four wines and a dozen beers on tap. From the Violet Beauregard, a creamy cocktail made with lavender vodka, to The Brawny, which has a strong bourbon presence topped with cinnamon and nutmeg, there's something on the menu for everyone.
