Soothing touch, whether it be applied to a loyal dog, a crying infant, or a frightened child, has a universally recognized power to reduce the signs of distress. How can it be that we overlook its usefulness on the jangled adult as well? What is it that leads us to assume that the stressed child merely needs "comforting," while the stressed adult needs "medicine"?
Massage dates back to ancient times. Even Hippocrates, the father of medicine, states that "if something hurts you should rub it". Using my God given talents to help the people that find me is a blessing to me as much as it helps them. My specialty is orthopedic rehabilitation and laser/electrical acupuncture but I am also able to use my experience to help reduce stress as well as pain.
