Lady Steelers Cheerleading Camp takes place during Steelers’ Football /Cheerleading Camp: 6-8 pm Monday - Friday, last week of July and first week of August.

Cheerleading practice in the pre-season, and all the way to the championships, usually takes place at Riggs LaSalle Community Center during football practice. But please note: cheerleaders have their own practice schedule. Parents and cheerleading coaches are responsible for communicating about the schedule & weekly reminders. Parents must make sure that their cheerleaders have athletic wear, uniform, transportation, water, and snack at practices and games.

Let's cheer for our cheerleaders! Parents, friends, players—and even fans of the opposing team—are always glad to see our cheerleaders in action. Everybody smiles and joins in the noise.

Cheerleading begins with camp in July and continues all the way to the championships. The LRAA Lady Steelers cheerleading commissioner, coaches, assistants, and older cheerleaders teach newcomers. Lady Steelers coaches orders uniforms for the cheerleaders, and schedules their practice sessions and game appearances.

Helping our team
Each team needs a team parent who stays in close touch with the coach, communicates with players’ families about schedules, and organizes post-game snacks and a party at season’s end.
Parents are strongly encouraged to volunteer with the club, in addition to helping their own child’s team. Most LRAA parents enjoy pitching in to set up the field, uniforms, equipment, work the chains, help in the concession stand, or assist with fund raising.
