Luckey is a village in Wood County, Ohio, United States. The population was 1,012 at the 2010 census.HistoryLuckey was named for Captain James B. Luckey, who served in the US Army from 1861 to 1864. In 1879 he bought 180 acres of land and built a saw mill on the site of the village. In 1881 Isaac Krotzer surveyed the town, and several businesses were established including a post office, stave factory, and hotel. A post office called Luckey has been in operation since 1881.
