Lucky Star Horsemanship of Nebraska

Ever since I was a little girl I wanted a horse. When the Evening Star came out at night I was told it was a lucky star and was taught this saying:

Star light,
Star bright,
The first star I see tonight.
I wish I may,
I wish I might,
Have the wish, I wish tonight.

I would say this every night I saw the Evening Star and then close my eyes as tight as I could and wish for a horse.

As I got older I never let go of the dream, but it wasn't as prominent. Any time I had an opportunity to spend time around horses, I did. In 2003 I went to the Nebraska Horse Expo with Ryan, I was in horse heaven! It was all things horse! At the same time I also just received some of the best horse advice I have ever had. I was told, if I waited until I could "afford a horse" I would never have one and would regret it.

While at the Expo, Ryan and I met a gentleman who mentioned he had a horse, Jingles, for sale. We drove out the next day to see the horse, discussing the whole way that this was just the first horse we were looking at and we were most likely not be buying because he was only a two year old, and, and, and. So many reasons not to buy this horse.

Well, Jingles has taught me so much! And it is because of him and everything he has taught me that I want to share what I have learned.
When we purchased a two year old unbroken horse I learned that ground work matters! It is the best way to develop a relationship with your horse and that is what I want with my horses; a relationship.
Lucky Star was born to build confidence through horsemanship.
