More about Luna Zorro

I have always believed there was something different about these Appalachian hills that have raised me & pulled me back.

Time & time again, I found myself hiking the hills. While I'm from Berea, I've become quite the avid explorer of Central Kentucky. It is in these places I have became inspired throughout all chapters of my life.

Once a unruly child who wanted to run away and "live life on their own," I fled from this land & moved to a different city sheerly on impulse. Little did I know this move would only be temporary and quite the opposite of what I thought I knew.

As I left the life of Berea behind, I was unaware of the emptiness that would linger in its place. I felt lost, a lack of creative outlook, and my artistic questioning came to a standstill. I felt a magnetic pull drawing me back to this place, the faces, and the power of creation around me.

I moved back without any itinerary, and the only plan I had was not having a plan. I transferred to Eastern Kentucky University where I would change my degree to a Bachelor's of Fine Art and try to find myself along the way. It was in these months, I found myself. I shed my exterior personas that led to no satisfaction, but only the appeasement of others.

The hikes gave me clarity and calmed my chaotic soul. They evoked a new fear of trying something against the norm. I began welcoming the idea of working with others to become visionaries, makers, and workers of progression. New ideas are often difficult to welcome to a society of routine, but I knew my heart and mind were different; burning with creativity.

So this idea has been daunting my visions for months. I am a student, writer, sales associate, and mother to a pug and kitty. We all are busy. Life gets crazy. But I want to share my story with others, because those I have told I have seen the fire ignite just as hard as my own flame burns.

We are in a new time. It is the time of change, creation, and appreciation. My pieces tell stories, many of which I have discovered as I've been hiking the pinnacles in Berea or frolicing around Anglin Falls. I'm just a girl who wants to facilitate others. I want others to create, and perhaps see the beauty that I once neglected around me.

This is the story of Luna Zorro. My prints are stories into the life of someone who has lived an every day life of existence. But that is mundane. My purpose is to awaken the souls into this realm of happiness that can be found through art, and spiritual awareness.

My art is all handmade, original ideas with a bigger vision of purpose. I want to touch those with my story, not just my products. I want personal relationships with my customers, and to share my story.

The story of Luna Zorro. Hope will lead you, and the light will guide you.
