Sisters of the Sword

A warrior woman is the alchemical merging of solar (yang, masculine, one-pointed, goal oriented, doing energies) and lunar (yin, round, feminine, cyclical, sensual, feeling, being energies). She embodies the sacred union of masculine and feminine qualities. She exudes the wisdom of wholeness. She IS the divine force of love.

Her blades of clarity and truth cut through that which does not serve. Her arrows shoot forth from her bow, rocketing her towards her dream visions. Her shield and fierce vigilance protect her from that which would harm her. Her determination and courage bring her the strength necessary to overcome obstacles. Her dedication to truth frees her energy from needless distraction and compels her to grow. Her commitment to using the words “yes” and “no” in the most potent, honest, and powerful ways gift her with self-sovereignty.

Her intuition, dreams, emotions, and the sacred cycles of her feminine body guide her. Her body’s connection with the moon and the earth nourish her. Her honoring of the need for flow even in the process of manifesting HUGE goals and dreams brings her into balance. Her deep love, rooted in her womb, fills her with an endless source of power and energy. Her sensuality and capacity for pleasure invigorate her and fill her with the joy of life that motivates her to keep living and pursuing her dreams and goals. She walks the path of beauty and love.

She is the mama bear, fiercely defending her cubs. She is the woman freeing herself from abusive or unloving situations and embracing at long last her FREEDOM! She is the fearless wild woman, singing her wild song to the full moon atop her favorite mountain. She is the creator and the destroyer of life, the sacred guardian of life, death, and rebirth. And she lives in the hearts and souls of each and every one of us.

My prayer for this project is this – may it nourish the WHOLENESS of all women – may it serve us in embodying our solar warrior and also our lunar priestess, which are not in fact separate energies, but rather merge together as eternally entwined lovers. May it deepen us into the magic and mystery that is our birthright. May it bring us together in loving community and sacred sisterhood. May we rise together as warrior women, in service to the greatness of love that we all come from and will all someday return to.
