In 2006 the Luther College Gardens was started by student initiative to give students the chance to learn about growing food. Over the past decade the garden has expanded and evolved into an acre of produce with season extension in a movable high tunnel, mechanization with a BCS walk-behind tractor, and a Food Safety Plan that is GAP (Good Agricultural Practices). All of the produce is sold back to Dining Services.
