Our Story

After a combined 25 years of experience in Family restaurant businesses, you could say we know our way around the kitchen. Our personal cooking started evolving over the years, as the info-geek member of the team (Chris), began researching the affect specific foods have on our bodies. The importance of foods that we could trace back to their origin rang true to us as the way to go. As our knowledge about healthy cooking progressed, we started to think about a way to share this with everyone.

Macro Nu™ meals are weighed and measured to give the macro nutrient information you need, but we offer so much more than that. We are providing you direct access to food from as many of our local area farms as possible. At Macro Nu™, we are on a mission to visit each and every farm that we are partnering with to provide first-hand knowledge as to how the animals and produce is cared for. This is more important to us than an organic label from an obscure farm.

We also think that it is important to our health and sustainability to use the entirety of the animal as opposed to picking only certain cuts. That is why proudly use a “snout to tail” method, which simply means we will use every part of the animal before restocking.

Last and certainly not least, we have started a family farm with our brothers from Angelina’s called MAG’s Meadows. It’s on 140 beautiful acres that were passed down to the family from our grandparents, Mary Ann and Greg (MAG’s) Scallero.

What does "Macro Nu" stand for?

Macro Nu stands for "Macro Nutrition." One of the foundations of our business is to provide you with the nutritional information of each of your three macronutrients. This means every fresh meal is customized with the right amount of Carbohydrates, Fats, and Protein - all of the necessary components to fuel your day!

How does Macro Nu "work," exactly?

Three easy steps:
1­) We create flavorful and healthy menu options for you to choose from every week.
2­) You come here to our website to select which freshly made meals you'd like.
3­) You pick up your meals from one of our convenient locations on the next scheduled day!

What is your ordering/drop off schedule?

Our drop off days are Sundays and Wednesdays. The menu for the week is put up on Tuesday. We ask that you order by Wednesday for the following Sunday (4 days ahead). For our Wednesday drop off, we ask that you order by the Sunday prior (3 days ahead). This provides us with the time it takes to source the freshest ingredients possible for your made-to-order meals.

Where can I pick up my meals?

We have three convenient locations for pick up: 216 Quaker Road, Queensbury, NY (Angelina’s Pizzeria); 365 Canada Street, Lake George, NY (Giuseppe’s Pizzeria); or 165 Broadway, Fort Edward, NY (Adrianna’s Pizzeria).

Can I get delivery?

Yes! We have a three dish minimum for delivery. As long as you order the number of dishes per drop, we will gladly bring it straight to your door step at the time of your choosing at absolutely no additional cost!

What type of containers do you use?

We use #5 recyclable plastic containers. It has a tight fitting lid and can be used multiple times. It's also safe for your dishwasher, microwave, and/or freezer.

How do I reheat my food?

Reheating of each dish is based on personal preference. The containers that we use are microwave safe. Just pop the lid off, place a paper towel on top, and microwave away! You can also remove from the container completely and heat in the stove or on the stove top. Macro Nu comes to you completely finished and many of our clients report eating their dishes cold (some even straight from the containers... with their fingers)!
