Madrone Coast Farm

We are a small, family farm located in the beautiful San Lorenzo Valley, 900 feet above the city of Santa Cruz in the Santa Cruz Mountains. We provide premium quality produce for our community year round with organically-grown vegetables and fruits, as well as pasture-raised heritage breed chicken eggs. We carefully select our produce varieties for excellent taste and quality. Our produce is grown without pesticides or herbicides resulting in highly nutritious food and a healthy soil.

In addition, we believe in the conservation and promotion of endangered livestock breeds, and we are proud members of The Livestock Conservancy, the Large Black Hog Association, the Olde English Babydoll Southdown Sheep Registry and the Oberhasli Breeders of America.

Our conservation efforts includes the preservation of breeding stock sales and heritage breed meats and products from our Large Black Hogs, Oberhasli Dairy goats and the Olde English Babydoll sheep. Many traditional livestock breeds have lost popularity and are threatened with extinction. These traditional breeds are an essential part of the American agricultural inheritance. Not only do they evoke our past, they are also an important resource for our future.
