Magnolia Rising

Welcome to my brand new blog Magnolia Rising. This blog will be about my gardening , farming, and animal husbandry activities. It will also be about the environment because these things are inextricably linked. I am very excited to be enrolled in the Master Gardener class in Etowah county and I plan chronicle here my journey to becoming a master gardener. Lest you think this will be all about row crops and vegetables let me assure you that I will probably also talk about my adventures in keeping orchids, a hobby(read: obsession) that I have only recently acquired. I also grow quite a lot of flowers and such and will discuss those as well.
