Maine Custom Woodlands

Maine Custom Woodlands is a full service forest management company focusing on comprehensive forest management. Full service means a Maine Custom Woodlands employee takes care of everything from start to finish. We have Professional Licensed foresters on staff, two fully mechanical whole-tree woods crews, all of our own trucks, as well as a close-out crew.

Doing everything "in house" allows us to provide our landowners with better services and better stumpage prices.

We are Master Logger Certified (a 3rd party certification) which holds us to a higher standard of logging than what the minimum requirements are. As part of our certification, we come back in with a close-out crew. Close-out consists of smoothing up trails and neatening up the yard (where the trees that are harvested are processed).

Our whole tree method of harvesting allows us to capture the entire value of the trees that are harvested as well as drastically reducing the amount of slash (limbs and tops) left behind.
