Makada is owned by Mark Wallace, Founder of Wallace Lumber and Empire Mat. For the past three generations we have thrived and mastered the skill and art of designing, creating and producing timber mats. It isn’t just something we do, but something we take pride and honor in doing well. As our founding companies grew, we knew what we had to do in order to get our quality product into the market faster and better than what the industry could provide for us: develop our own trucking division. In 2015, we founded Makada and began to haul our own products, backhaul for other clients, and utilize our own fleet as well as carrier partnerships. What began as a humble private fleet is now a thriving trucking and logistics division run by the best and the brightest.
