Malibu's Place

The bittersweet story:

Life of a rescued dog named “Malibu” - from trash to treasure.

This facebook page was created to tell the story of a very special dog (our dog) that was rescued in 2003 when he was just a tiny puppy, from a hopeless situation by the author’s mother. Malibu was termed a half-breed of Airedale/ Bearded Collie but after three years is looks change completely and look as if he was a pure breed Bearded Collie.

The story is based on real people, real adventures, and is inspired by the unconditional love Malibu provided to his family as a whole. Malibu's mother has even went to the extent to create the cutest, most unique, children's educational books one has ever seen.

Book 1 - ABC's is where every page in this outstanding book was designed to teach children basic phonics in ABC's and words that relate to them. The full color illustrations are re-creations of actual moments caught on film and depicts a childlike enthusiasm: featuring delightful, bold & bright colors, cute animals and never before seen characters. Although the book was generally written to enlighten children within the age bracket 1 – 8 years, but the book is good for every member of a family.

Malibu's story is shared so people can see how a rescued puppy changed the views of a family, especially the Author's who was always a cat person. He stopped passer-byes (even in traffic), made people smile and he was also featured on T.V. 20 SF, CA, as a local featured pet and was awarded top dog for the month of February - 1 year to the month of his grandmothers passing (his rescuer), how ironic considering she always believed he belonged on T.V.

Malibu was a blessing to this generation, he love staying around people until cancer took his grandmother, and 2 years later he fell ill as well. Confusion, and the desire to only be around his parents older brother, and lil sister Shianne, set in. The story has it, that his illness claimed his life, (although his mother's instincts believed medical malpractice).

The happiest, most loving part to this story is- the 3 series books: Adventures in Learning with Malibu, where the Author was able to preserve Malibu's treasured moments (outings, hikes, trips, and journeys) and utilize them to encourage children to learn basic education.
