Mamaw's Munchies

Mamaw's Munchies actually started 14 years ago when my mother and I decided to make and sell homemade pumpkin rolls for the holiday season. After putting my baking skills and her creative skills together we ended up with not only a delicious pumpkin roll but a wonderful selection of decadent cake rolls to choose from. We were very successful and had great fun providing many people with great desserts for family celebrations, church dinners, office parties and more.
Much to our disappointment after that holiday season we were unable to continue making our cake rolls due to health issues and unforeseen circumstances. And then as it is with many, there never seemed to be enough time for us to pick up the spatulas and continue on. After a battle with dementia, my momma went home 5 years ago and each year as I make our cake rolls for my family I always wish we could have followed this dream.
But, life holds many surprises and I have come to a place where I have the time to bake again. Since we are at the doorway of another holiday season and I am blessed to have the time, I am going to take orders for cake rolls again. Sadly, this time I will be baking without my mother by my side but she will always be there with me in spirit since I am blessed to have the recipes that she created 14 years ago.
Next time you have the hankering for something sweet or you need a great dessert for a party or get together but you don't have the time to make it yourself. I hope you will think of me and let me help with a made from scratch, delicious cake roll or party tray.
