The racial makeup of the CDP was 96.75% White, 1.55% African American, 0.10% Native American, 0.05% Asian, 0.46% from other races, and 1.08% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.70% of the population.There were 852 households out of which 21.6% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 57.6% were married couples living together, 8.8% had a female householder with no husband present, and 30.3% were non-families. 25.9% of all households were made up of individuals and 13.4% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
