The story of Manny Ramos, owner of Manny's El Loco Mexican Food Restaurants, is the familiar tale of a hometown boy who made it good.
Growing up near Ford and Floral in East Los Angeles, Manny's El Loco Mexican Food Restaurants began with a boy trying to please his mother. " I knew I had the knack for making home style Mexican food. My Mother would ask 'Make me this' and it would always be on the money," Ramos recalled.
Manny says the key to good taste in cooking is freshness. Everything he uses is fresh, from freshly diced tomatoes for his salsa to freshly peeled potatoes for his french fries. "We use seven kinds of meat for the Mexican menu. Which is why the food tastes so special." American food is also on the menu including: hamburgers, fries, chili dogs and pastrami.
The key to Manny's success has been to offer good food and fast service.
