Marjorie is a cross disciplined scientist and business person. She does her best work at the intersections of fields: software engineering, systems engineering, biochemistry, project management and scheduling. Most systems fail at these intersections, and this is where she is strongest.
Marjorie is certified in Oracle Primavera P6 Enterprise Project Portfolio Management. Her programming languages include C/C++, SQL, PL/SQL, UNIX and Linux shell scripting, PERL scripting, HTML, and Matlab.
Marjorie holds an MS from the University of California, Los Angeles and a PhD from the University of California, San Francisco. Her work experience includes building a powerful bioinformatics patent generating software suite for the biotech company, Sugen, and facilitating communication among molecular biologists, software engineers and attorneys at Ingenuity Systems. She has worked as a consultant for Beckman Coulter, Barco Simulation, and Genencor and contributed expertise to technology transfer by bringing in a top IP attorney to Texas A&M University, initiating an internship program, screening entrepreneurs, and raising angel funds.
