Mark II Lumber

Mark II Lumber Company opened in 1969, when Larmar Markowitz and Joe Markowitz purchased the Smith Lumber and Coal Yard Company . In 1976, Tom Soetaert and Chuck Grimwood purchased the business and continue to own and operate Mark II Lumber today, providing quality building materials and service. Their business clientele includes a 60 percent contractor rate with a 40 percent " do it yourself " customer mix. Continuing to grow and expand, the business now provides over 10, 000 square feet of showroom and offices. An additional 40,000 feet of covered storage adds to the quality of materials sold. Tom Soetaert and Chuck Grimwood, along with their 20 employees, plan to continue carrying quality building materials at competitive prices, while maintaining superior customer service as their foremost objective.
