More about Marlton Tavern

In 1898, a Victorian style home was built as the private residence of Clayton Brick, son of Henry Brick. The Bricks were known as benefactors to many Marlton citizens and were a large part of the community; owning two stores, a cranberry bog, and a piggery.
In 1999, the Lavdas family restored the building to house what is known today as the Marlton Tavern. The interior and exterior are gorgeous gateways to the past, giving Marlton Tavern a unique look and feel that can not be duplicated. Some even say Clayton Brick still lurks about in the wee hours of the morning.
The building is not the only thing that makes Marlton Tavern special, its the food! The wide menu variety and homemade recipes are able to suit even the most critcal taste pallates. Our menu reflects old-world recipes from the family’s native Greece, updated for current tastes with the freshest produce, meats and seafood available. Our recipes aren’t written down, because we don’t follow recipes. We live to make the food the way we would enjoy it at home.
Like the Claytons, the Lavdas family strives for a strong sense of community. Fundraisers and benefits often take place here at the tavern. Being located on Main Street makes Marlton Tavern the focal point of commuity events such as the Evesham Harvest Fest, Taste of Evesham, 4th of July, and many more!
The owners and staff of Marlton Tavern strive to go above and beyond
whats typically expected of a dining out experience. We genuinely care about a customer’s experience. Unlike a corporate chain or franchise, every customer
concern is addressed whether it be big or small. No guest is overlooked to create an atmosphere where everyone feels welcome.
Marlton Tavern has won Best of SJ Magazine, Best of South Jersey, Best of Philly, and many more! While recieving recognition from critics is very flattering, we see your opinion as most important. As our motto states, “Who’s better than you?”
