The Marvin K. Peterson Library at the University of New Haven is a great place to study, use a computer, search our many databases, find research help and much, much more.

MISSION
The Marvin K. Peterson Library acts as an academic hub and pathway to a variety of high quality information resources and provides instruction in information literacy for the entire University of New Haven community in order to facilitate success in all teaching, learning, and scholarly pursuits.

VISION
As the Learning Commons, a vibrant center and academic hub for exchange of knowledge, ideas and scholarly pursuits, and the Information Literacy Center at the University, the Library will:
Serve as the primary center for individual and collaborative study, enrichment programs, the formal and informal exchange of ideas, and academic collaboration in a warm, welcoming and highly functional environment;
Facilitate partnerships to promote a collaborative learning community;
Foster cross-disciplinary collaborations between and among academic departments and the Library;
Provide stewardship of UNH intellectual assets and historical artifacts as a Digital Repository providing a content management system;
Serve an active role in attracting and retaining outstanding students and faculty to the community through its programs, services and resources;
Promote the integration of information literacy into the University’s curriculum by partnering with faculty to provide high-quality instruction to students throughout their college careers in order to find and critically evaluate resources for their academic success; and
Provide for the information needs of a diverse and global UNH Community by fully engaging with emerging and mobile technologies.
