Matagorda County, Texas

Matagorda County is a county located in the U.S. state of Texas. As of the 2010 census, the population was 36,702. According to data from Applied Geographic Solutions, the 2016 population was 36,807. Its county seat is Bay City, not to be confused with the larger Baytown in Harris and Chambers Counties.
