Mayesfest- Bellevue KY Bluegrass Music Festival

Bluegrass, a form of American roots music, was inspired by the music of Appalachia. It has mixed roots in Scottish, Welsh, Irish and English traditional music, and also later influenced by the music of African-Americans through incorporation of jazz elements. Join us this fall the first annual bluegrass and American roots festival will take place at Bellevue Beach Park. Festivities will include live music, a variety of food, beverages and merchandise vendors.


Banger Mayes, a long time resident of Grants Lick Kentucky has traveled almost every State in the Union in support and appreciation of Bluegrass & American Roots Music. In that vein we wish to host a festival in his honor and in his own backyard.
