McAdenville Athletic Club

Community, history and legacy all are the building blocks of this great organization which was founded in 1974 by Mr. William Pharr. Because of that legacy, Pharr Yarns continues to be our primary sponsor. Mr. Pharr handpicked our first football coach, Doug McDonald. Yes, this is who our field is name after today. Doug’s wife, Mikey McDonald, was the first cheer coach.

Over the past 40 years MAC has won many local football championships and cheer competitions. In 1997 and 2009, our PW and JM Football Teams advanced to the Pop Warner Championship in Walt Disney World, Florida, and in 2016, our JPW Football Team did as well. There they finished 4th in the country. In 2012, 2014 and 2015 our JM, JPW and PW cheerleaders (respectively) advanced to the Pop Warner National Cheer & Dance Championship as well from winning the local and regional competitions. In 2016, both our JPW and JV Cheer teams advanced to regional competition in Virginia Beach with the JV team also advancing to Nationals, placing 6th. We have a history of winning and undefeated seasons.
