McCann's Local Meats

Do you know where your meats came from? Chances are they probably came from some factory farms in Midwest from animals that spent their entire lives in a cage, and were injected with growth hormones and all kinds of preventive antibiotics. McCann's Local Meats provide meats from animals raised in old fashioned ways by farms in the Rochester area.

We provide meats that have been hung for at least a week after slaughter so that they will develop flavor and tenderness naturally, as opposed to commodity meats from factory farms that are cut and vacuum packed right after the slaughter. Our meats don't come from bags in boxes; they arrive as large primals, halved, or even whole carcass ready for fabrication. Have a specific cut your family loves? Something your grandparents made, but you can't find anymore? We are happy to custom cut to your specifications. Many of our recipes draw from other cultures, and we are always excited to hear about what recipes our customers use meat for. We take pride in culinary processes that help us to utilize virtually the entire animal. We further dry-age some of our beef in house, achieving a product large grocery chains simply can't come close to.

Our case boasts a variety of products made on premises from fresh sausages, deli meats, and air dried charcuterie items. We make broths from the bones of our animals and render cooking fats from them as well.

Since your time is valuable, we provide quick meals as well. We serve soups and sandwiches that you can grab and go. We also understand the busy schedules of our customers and prepare foods that you can heat up at home and enjoy while spending more time with your families.
