Mcclellan Development Authority

On March 3, 2010, the McClellan Development Authority was officially certified as a non-profit public corporation charged with the future economic development of the former US Army Fort.
The MDA Board of Directors consists of five members appointed by the Calhoun County Commission, five members appointed by the Anniston City Council and one member appointed by the Governor of Alabama. Board meetings are held on the fourth Wednesday of October, January, April, July, and September at 10:00 AM in the MDA board room.

McClellan offers a wide range of public recreation opportunities. Cane Creek Golf Course is a public eighteen-hole venue that offers experienced and not so experienced golfer’s alike hours of recreation on beautiful greens and rolling hills. Located along Baltzell Gate Road, Cane Creek Golf Course is home to the annual Sunny King Golf Tournament. The "Clubhouse" offers a well-stocked pro shop and a full-service restaurant and bar or you can stop by any week day to take advantage of the daily lunch specials.
